Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of pain on the bottom of the foot. The plantar fascia is a thick band of tissue that runs on the bottom of your foot from the heel to the toes in a web-like fashion. Plantar fasciitis is especially common in runners and active individuals, but can also affect anybody.
Some causes of plantar fasciitis include the following:
- Misalignment of the bones of the foot
- Poor Ankle
- Inadequate Foot Support
Symptoms of plantar fasciitis include:
- Sharp pain in the bottom of the foot
- Worse in the morning
- Often triggered by long periods of standing or running.
By delivering a specific adjustment to the bone or bones that are locked up in the foot, we have had much success in alleviating the pain of patients with plantar fasciitis and other foot problems.
